Extra Efficiency model GSHC Ground-Source Heat Pump

Back to Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground temperatures are affected little by hot or cold weather conditions. Since the geothermal heat pump does not use the fluctuating outside air temperature, it is capable of using less energy. A ground source system does not convert electricity into heat; rather it uses electricity to move thermal energy between your home and the ground. This process makes the geothermal system highly efficient.

Benefits of the GSHC Heat Pump

  • Highly efficient at up to 17.8 EER, 3.9 COP
  • Self adjusting airflow control option
  • Virtually free hot water heating when unit is in the cooling mode
  • Goes entirely in the home avoiding outside weather extremes
  • Compact design allows the equipment to be installed basically anywhere (attic, basement, or closet)
  • Requires no defrost cycle and little - to no supplemental electric heat
  • Easy to remove drain pan for cleaning
  • A renewable energy source
